Private, single-user application

Mail assistance, only when requested.

hermes is a personal Gmail integration used by its operator through a private assistant conversation. It is not a public email service and offers no public sign-up.

What hermes does

On request, searches Gmail and reads a selected message so the assistant can answer a question or prepare a draft.
Shows the exact recipient, subject, and body before asking the operator to approve any send. It does not send merely because it prepared a draft.
Does not run background Gmail monitoring, automatic replies, or scheduled mailbox checks.

Google account access

The application requests Gmail read-only access to find and read requested messages and Gmail send access to send an explicitly approved message. These permissions can provide access to sensitive email content. The application does not request Gmail modification, deletion, Calendar, Drive, or Contacts permissions.

Selected content may be processed by the configured AI service to perform the requested task and may be returned in the operator's Discord conversation. The Privacy Policy explains those transfers, local storage, and how to revoke access.

Who operates it

This private application is operated by the owner of melvinchen.com for their own use. It is not operated or endorsed by Google or Discord.
